What is the Anticipa-TEA APP?
Anticipa-TEA, is a mobile software aimed at facilitating and preventing limitations in the daily life of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through the simulation of daily scenarios in an interactive way. The group of children with ASD is sensitive to changes in their routines and exposure to new environments and situations, causing them stress that leads to maladaptive behaviors, such as “tantrums”. A strategy that is used in the intervention in this group is the anticipation of the new situations that they are going to experience, gradually, to minimize the alterations that these can cause in their well-being. That is why Anticipa-TEA intends to offer support in these adaptation phases, simulating the environments and situations that are to come in the form of interactive maps with different real scenes and sounds, to reduce the negative impact on the quality of life that these Situations provoke both in children with ASD and in their families.

How does the Anticipa-TEA APP work?

Project Anticipa-TEA consists of three modes of use:

1.Free: in which the child can freely inspect all the areas and sounds on the map. This mode shows common scenarios: park, hairdresser, doctor / dentist, supermarket and birthday party. In these scenarios, there are different elements that light up for the child to interact with them to hear their sounds.

2.History: It consists of several stories that simulate daily activities presented in free mode that can be a challenge for children with ASD. In this mode, stories are narrated that allow the child to explore the elements in an orderly way, in order to interact with all the elements of the different scenarios.

3. Personalized: Structured mode in the form of a weekly calendar that allows to simulate the real routine of each child in order to review it before living it. Different daily activities appear in it, which parents / guardians can add in the schedule they need. These activities are accompanied by a simple picture and sound.
