When calculating any beam, we need to find such basic values as bending moment and lateral force, on the basis of which further calculations are carried out. With this task we will be helped by this application. A beautiful design and ease of use will reduce the time of data entry and calculation to a minimum.
Operating procedure:
1. Set the length of the main span (from the support to the support)
2. Define the boundary conditions of your beam (Swivel or Termination)
3. If necessary, set the tabs of the console to the left and to the right
4. Set the distributed load:
a. Enter its value
b. Enter the values from where to start and where the load ends
5. Set the concentrated forces (when you click on "+" - add another concentrated force).
a. Enter the value of this force
b. Enter the distance to the force
6. Ask the concentrated moment
a. Enter the torque value
b. Enter the distance to the moment
The result of the calculation is the angular momentum and transverse forces
For reference:
- All distances to loads are entered, starting from the left support (for the Swivel joint) and starting from the left point of the beam (for the Deadlock)
- you can enter the data into the calculation in any units (kg and meters are given for example), but if you have already started to specify in newtons or in kloneutons, then continue to specify in the same unit of measurement
- do not add the next concentrated force unless you have set the previous
- The bending moment diagram is based on the stretched fiber of the beam
- positive values on the diagram - red, negative - blue
