The Safe Delivery Rider App is a smartphone-based delivery service.
The app allows drivers to pick up items from stores or other locations using the order information and location, then deliver them to the destination.
📱 Rider App Service Access Permissions
The Rider App requires the following access permissions to provide its services.
📷 [Required] Camera Permission
Purpose: This permission is required to take photos and upload them to the server during service operations, such as taking photos of completed deliveries and sending electronic signature images.
🗂️ [Required] Storage Permission
Purpose: This permission allows users to select photos from the gallery and upload the completed delivery photos and signature images to the server.
※ This permission is replaced with the Photo and Video Selection permission on Android 13 and higher.
📞 [Required] Phone Permission
Purpose: This permission is required to call customers and merchants to provide delivery status updates or respond to inquiries.
📍 [Required] Precise Location & Background Location Permission
Location information is required to perform delivery services, such as dispatching riders based on their location while on duty, sharing real-time progress, and receiving arrival notifications. Location information is **collected in real time only when the app is running and in working mode** and is used with the user's explicit consent.
🛡️ [Required] Foreground Location Services Permission
We use the **FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION permission** to reliably provide real-time location-based features (such as dispatching requests, sharing progress, and receiving arrival notifications) while the rider is on duty, even when the screen is off or using other apps.** This permission is activated only after receiving the rider's **explicit consent**, and the purpose and use of this permission are clearly indicated in the in-app UI.
