F 11 was Sweden's strategic reconnaissance unit during the Second World War and the Cold War. F 11's pilots and navigators flew unarmed reconnaissance versions of, among others, Spitfire, Tunnan, Lansen and Draken over the Baltic Sea and sometimes - over the territory of the opposite side.

The tactic of not being discovered and shelled was: maximum speed at the lowest altitude.
