पाया न भेद किसने, यह गहरा ही गहरा है ।।

श्री शंकर महाराज अगदी अलीकडच्या काळात होऊन गेलेले सिध्दयोगीं सत्पुरुष. त्यांची समाधी पुणे येथे सातारा रस्त्यावर धनकवडी भागात आहे. त्यांचा जन्म साधारणपणे इसवी सन आठराशेच्या सुमारास सोमवार कार्तिक शुध्द अष्टमीस झाला. त्यांच्या समाधीचा दिनांक (वैशाख शुद्ध अष्टमी शके १८६९ म्हणजे) २४ एप्रिल १९४७ सोमवारी आहे.

महाराज आपल्या भक्तांचे कल्याण करतात असा सर्व भक्तांचा दृढ विश्वास आणि अनुभव आहे. त्यांच्या भक्तांनी आणि शिष्यांनी त्यांच्यासमोर स्वतःच्या रूपात किंवा संकटसमयी इतरांच्या देहांतून दर्शन घेतल्याची अनेक उदाहरणे आहेत.

Yogiraj Shri Shankar Maharaj was undoubtedly one of the greatest saints of Maharashtra in the modern age. His Samadhi is located in the Dhankawadi area on Satara Road in Pune. He was born around the year 1800 on Monday Kartik Shuddha Ashtamis. The date of his samadhi (Vaisakh Shuddha Ashtami Shaka 1869 ie) is Monday 24th April 1947.

All the devotees have a strong belief and experience that Maharaj does the welfare of his devotees. There are many instances of his devotees and disciples appearing before him in his own form or in the bodies of others in times of distress.
