The fight against counterfeit medicines and their supply chain is a strategic priority for the Beninese healthcare system. To strengthen public health security and ensure the traceability of pharmaceutical products, from their entry into the country to their dispensation to the patient, the Government of Benin has initiated the ePharmacie project. This project aims to implement a national, unitary traceability solution, based on international standards such as those of the GS1 organization, and applicable to all stakeholders in the pharmaceutical chain, both in the public and private sectors.
The ePharmacie Track & Trace application validates the authenticity of pharmaceutical products imported or manufactured in Benin. When a user scans a GS1-compliant DataMatrix barcode on a pharmaceutical product box in the application, it is validated on the ePharmacie web portal. Please ensure you have an active internet connection to use the application.
