In 2009, Small Screen Software introduced Checkbook Genius to what used to be known as the Android Market, now the Google Play Store. Since then the app has gone through a number of major releases, with incremental changes in features and user interface design.

Celebrating over 10 years as an Android title, this new, lite version of Checkbook Genius does almost everything its full version predecessor (2020) did.

Checkbook Genius 4 Lite has these features:

- Attractive look and feel
- Filtering of transactions, totaling all entries found - search for any transaction with a few letters from the name of someone you paid
- Presets for repeated transactions with specific amounts you use every month
- Color chooser for account color blocks lets you choose any color you wish

IMPORTANT NOTE: Checkbook Genius 4 Lite cannot import transactions from previous versions of Checkbook Genius, including Checkbook Genius 4. Checkbook Genius 4 also does not produce backup files local to the device.
