Objective:
1. Decrease Stress: To keep your eyes and body from straining too much while you work on the table.
2. Increase Productivity: To keep your productivity high by achieving optimum concentration level.
1. Decrease Stress
Doctors suggest that you should not sit in front of a computer for more than 30 mins straight. They suggest that every 20-30 mins you should at least get up, maybe stretch a little bit and then continue working. Not doing so in the long run can cause eye problems as well as neck and lower back problems.
The Pomodoro timer for each task notifies us to take a short break (or long break depending on your choice). Regularly work in this fashion will help reduce a lot of physical and mental stress.
2. Increase Productivity
Research also suggest that 25 mins is the optimum time that a person can focus. Therefore, taking a short break and re-engaging in work helps to maintain constant productivity. You can change the 25 min timing if you can concentrate longer at a time.
