Built as a prototype for an RFP from someone trying to build their math-tutoring business, this app is intended to allow remote homework-help in fields where the typeset nature of existing collaboration tools like Google Docs would get in the way. The QEN would enable the realtime, remote, and persistent review and editing of handwritten formulae across multiple virtual "pages."
Note: at present, all users share a common set of pages. Please play nice and don't erase/vandalize others' use of the demo.
As a prototype, this app should be considered an "alpha" release and is subject to ongoing development!
In particular, planned features include:
- Creating per-user page sandboxes and tutor super-users who can interact within other users' sandboxes.
- An eraser feature, in addition to the existing affordance to wipe entire pages.
- Selectable paper backgrounds, like lined and graph layouts. Potentially including the ability to use the phone's camera to capture an existing homework worksheet to use as a background.
- An affordance to select an existing page instead of cycling through all of them. Possibly with graphical previews of said pages.
UI/UX goals:
- Revise layout to maximize user workspace and be more consistent with Material Design principles.
- Smarter caching/handling of existing pages' rasterized representations.
