Cabaret Aléatoire was created in 2002, in the premises of Friche Belle de Mai. Since then, more than 1,500 concerts and 5,000 groups and artists have been scheduled there, as well as more than 850,000 people welcomed.
Since 2014, Cabaret Aléatoire has been labeled SMAC. The only SMAC in the Metropolis.
The particularity of our SMAC is that it is focused on the promotion of electronic music in its entirety as well as on urban cultures. More than 60 dates per year with programming concepts specific to our teams such as the “Club Cabaret” which takes place every Friday, dedicated to local collectives and new scenes and emerging artists.
Cabaret Aléatoire represents 33% of the artists presented at La Friche, all disciplines combined.
All year round, we support local artists and new collectives on the regional electronic scene, precursors of new artistic trends.
Le Cabaret Aléatoire is also the “Utopia” Festival, which takes place every year on the last weekend of September throughout the Friche Belle de Mai site. A festival of general interest which is also the showcase of the actions carried out all year round at Cabaret Aléatoire. Spread over 2 days, it brings together up to 10,000 people.
