Hitoyoshi-Kuma area is composed of 1 city 4 towns 5 villages of Hitoyoshi city, Kashiwa town, Asagiri town, Taragi town, Yumae town, Mizukami village, Sagara village, Iki village, Yamae village and Kumama village in Kumamoto prefecture. It is the Hitoyoshi Basin area located at the southern end of the prefecture.
