The electronic version of the guide contains contemporary, evidence-based clinical recommendations for children's hospital care.

The recommendations are developed for doctors, nurses and other medical workers responsible for the treatment of children. Particular attention is paid to healthcare in pathologies that represent the main causes of mortality:
• Pathologies of newborns, small birth mass, prematurity, sepsis, perinatal asphyxia, congenital anomalies;
• Pneumonia and other respiratory disorders, such as bronchiolitis, asthma, tuberculosis;
• Diarrhea, acute and persistent;
• Fever, including malaria, meningitis, sepsis and acute rheumatic fever;
• Severe nutrition disorders;
• HIV AIDS;
• Surgical disorders, including trauma and burns.

The electronic application contains step-by-step recommendations according to the behavior in the stationary: emergency triage, child examination methods, paraclinical investigations, supportive care, monitoring of the child's progress, discharge and subsequent care.

The electronic application will allow the use of online recommendations. In addition, it has the following user-friendly functions: interactive links, search, the ability to view images in the original size, but also the use of formulas for calculating the dose of drugs (instead of the tables, used in the printed version of the guide).

This electronic application has been developed by the International Bureau of the World Health Organization.
