This VR app has been developed and validated in clinical teaching settings in order to help trainee doctors learn the correct systematic processes used when performing eye examinations. It is not a diagnostic tool it is purely for educational purposes.

The full version comprises five ‘levels’.

Tutorial level – learning to use the app.
Red reflex level – how to correctly orienting the app view the retina.
Retinal navigation – how to correctly navigate landmarks of the back of the eye.
Pathologies - Audio visual narrations on common pathologies of the eye.
Quiz - Use skills previously learnt to correctly identify pathologies or normal eyes.

This version of the app works with Android version 9. It does not support Google Cardboard version one (magnet and ring) only the Google Cardboard version 2.
