Hanoi, April 26, 2024 – This morning, Flight Group 919 of Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines), formerly the 919 Air Transport Regiment, solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 65th anniversary.

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the Air Defense - Air Force Service, leaders of Vietnam Airlines, representatives of leaders of ministries, departments and agencies, former leaders of Vietnam Airlines and leaders, officers and veteran pilots of Flight Group 919 through the ages.

The event marks an important milestone in the development of the National Airline, as well as of the Vietnamese civil aviation industry.

65 years ago, on May 1, 1959, the 919th Air Transport Regiment (now the 919th Flight Group) was established, becoming the first military-civil aviation transport unit of Vietnam.
