Making secure communication between devices are crucial in many areas. However, if there are no Internet or network access, or it is not reliable or trustworthy, direct communication between trusted devices could be an alternative to share information.

WiFi Direct/WiFi P2P technology enables to establish a direct connection between two or more devices, resulting in a peer to peer network over the air. Currently, this technology is only supported by Android and Linux, but in the future, it may be possible to use in other operating systems. Through such an ad-hoc wireless network, people can share any type of information without accessing the deployed networking infrastructure, prohibiting third parties to ban the user or network, or to filter the content to be transmitted.
