Amid's dictionary includes Persian words, Arabic, European and Turkish words used in Persian language, which was written by Hassan Amid along with literary and scientific terms. In 1332, Hassan Amid completed and published a dictionary called Farhang-e No, the first volume of which was published in 1308. Amid Persian Dictionary was first published in 1335 in 936 pages with a small cut, and after ten years, this dictionary was published in 1342 AH and in 1114 pages with corrections and adding more words.
Hassan Amid, the author of this dictionary, was born in the second half of the 13th century AH in Mashhad. His training took place in the same city. Amid became a member of the Literary Association at a young age and began working as a journalist, writer and lexicographer in the same years. He wrote in Khorasan magazine. Among the most important journalistic activities of Hassan Amid in Mashhad were the editor of the Khorasan yearbook and the Toos newspaper. In 1313, he started publishing the Toos newspaper on a weekly basis in Mashhad. He worked as a journalist in Khorasan for many years.
