There’s an undeniable hunger for African animated content that reflects the culture and values of the continent as demonstrated by our web series – The Adventures of Noko Mashaba. As the popularity of the show grew, we began to recognize the potential for a platform that could showcase more African animation content, as well as provide a space for up-and-coming animators to showcase their work.

Driven by this realization, we set out to conceptualize ZAtoonz™, an innovative platform that combines streaming, gaming, and events into a single platform for animation enthusiasts. The platform offers a unique value proposition for users by providing access to premium content, engaging activities, competitions, exciting events and merchandise. The platform would also offer animators the chance to gain exposure and reach a wider audience through the platform’s distribution network.

By creating ZAtoonz™, we hope to help cultivate a thriving animation industry on the African continent, where creative artists have the opportunity to share their unique stories and perspectives with the world.
