The ‘Unani Treatment Guidelines for Common Diseases’ (UTG) mobile app launched by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) carries information on the treatment of common diseases that a physician usually deals with during clinical practice. The information is categorised under the major headings of Principles of treatment (Usūl-i ‘Ilāj), Pharmacotherapy (Ilāj bi’l-Dawā) through single and compound drugs, Regimenal therapy(Ilāj bi’l-Tadbīr), dietary recommendations and restrictions and Prevention/Precaution

(Tahaffuz). The app presents vital information about various diseases gathered from classical sources. This mobile app would be useful for teachers, practitioners and graduate and postgraduate students of Unani Medicine in India and abroad. The commonly occurring diseases that a physician usually confronts at their clinic are categorised according to the
body part/system in order to make this application handy. The drug treatment options have been described in two parts. The first part of the treatment is based on single drugs and their simple combinations, which physicians can easily prepare at their clinic, while the second part includes pharmacopoeial preparations, which are readily available in the market. Standard classical books of Unani Medicine have been primarily referred to for the compilation of Unani Treatment Guidelines for Common Diseases.
