A sport synonymous with elites of the society, golf is a symbolism of grandeur and elegance. Hence a golf course cannot be a part of a mere sports complex ever. With a proud legacy as the oldest Golf course outside the British Isles, BGC is a landmark of the city’s history that represents the class and poise of Bengaluru's crème de la crème.

Established by a group of aristocratic British men in 1876, it was initially a 12 hole Golf Course. For decades since its founding, it was used by the Army as a training ground. In 2002, the entire landscape was wholly restructured to give birth to an 18 hole golf course of international standard. Spread over 60 acres of undulating perennials and tree cover, it has two water bodies to increase the challenge level.
