Number Shift challenges players to think strategically and move logically. Each move slides an entire row or column of numbered and operator tiles, mixing up the board in search of valid equations like 6 + 7 = 13 or 12 ÷ 3 = 4. When a correct equation lines up, it glows with color and disappears in a burst of sparkles, replaced by new random tiles that keep the game fresh.
Designed for elementary through middle-school students — and for anyone who loves a good logic puzzle — Number Shift reinforces basic math operations, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning. Difficulty increases naturally as you master addition and subtraction and tackle multiplication and division challenges.
How to Play
Slide entire rows or columns to rearrange number and operator tiles on a 5×5 grid. Form a correct equation — for example 3 + 4 = 7 — and those tiles will vanish in a flash of sparkles while new ones appear. Every equation earns points, and the tougher the math operation, the higher your score!
Tips & Strategy
There’s always at least one “=” tile somewhere on the board — that’s your key to success. Try planning ahead to set up multiple equations with one slide, or chain reactions that trigger back-to-back clears. Addition and subtraction build momentum, while multiplication and division bring big-score payoffs. Shift smartly, think ahead, and watch the grid light up with every discovery!
