The Australian National Botanic Gardens is rich in bird life with over 200 species recorded. A vast range of habitats are found in the area - Red Centre garden, rock gardens, rainforest environment and native forests. Many birds are residents, others are travellers passing through and some are of special significance due to their threatened species status.
