If you are practising neurology or vestibular rehabilitation you should be testing subjective visual vertical in your patients. It has been shown to be a sensitive and reliable test for brainstem lesions and is one of the few tests available for otolithic function.

However, up until now testing subjective visual vertical required costly and bulky equipment. The Visual Vertical application for iphone and ipad changes all that.
