Safeter is a system for employers to manage the reopening of their workplaces, and to keep employees safe. It is not a consumer service, and there is no functionality a consumer can receive on her own. When an employer signs up, they must invite employees to the service.
It has three main pieces of functionality: 1) It allows employees to schedule a space in their office as many workplaces are operating at less than full capacity, 2) It provides regular symptom checks according to CDC guidelines to ascertain if an employee is eligible to come to the office or not, and 3) If someone tests positive employees can enter this to notify their organization
Safeter is built from the ground up for privacy and we have a medical advisory board including physicians from Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Columbia. Employers have strong privacy controls they can implement where only certain system administrators can see any data related to health or symptom check information. Employees have a robust settings page and a wizard when they launch the app that allows them to manage their settings regarding notifications.
