Together for Health – Virginia is a new research program being conducted by researchers in the Department of Health Behavior and Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Our goal is simple—to build a database for Virginians to better understand how social, behavioral and environmental factors impact health in Virginia. By looking for patterns in the data, we aim to find ways to improve health and health care for all Virginians.

You can use this app to enroll in the Together for Health – Virginia Research Program and take surveys and share your health information for research.


If you join the Together for Health – Virginia Research Program you will:
Register your account.
Review the consent.
Answer surveys.
Have the opportunity to share information from your fitness tracker.
Have the opportunity to share your electronic health records (with optional selections for Apple's HealthKit and Clinical Health Records)
Share and update your health, behavior and lifestyle information.
You may also be invited to take part in other research opportunities.

Your information will go into a large research database. Scientists and researchers can use this database to conduct studies on health behaviors. What they learn could improve health for generations to come.

How Your Data Will Be Used
The data you share will inform research studies focused on health in Virginia. It could help pave the way towards improvements in health and healthcare for all Virginians.

Better information about risk factors for certain diseases and health outcomes.

You will be able to see your Together for Health - Virginia Research Program information and learn about research studies that use data from the program.

Eligibility
To join, you must be 18 years of age or older and live in the state of Virginia.
