Use the Victoria-ID app to verify ID documents such as passports, identity cards, residence permits, and driver's licenses worldwide.
Most ID cards contain a chip. This chip contains information about the ID. To gain access to the chip, the 'Machine Readable Zone' of the ID must first be read (using the camera). The chip is read using NFC (Near Field Communication). Most smartphones and tablets support NFC.
Information gathered during the verification process is not kept on the device, and only shared with the organization that requested the check, after explicit permission of the user.
The Victoria-ID app is developed and owned by Victoria-ID. This service is free for persons who perform the ID check. Victoria-ID offers the application to organizations that use the Victoria-ID screening software.
