AOF (Avon Old Farms School) Athletics is an app specifically designed for Avon Old Farms School.

Learn about players, coaches, and team histories through exclusive features such as the Hall of Fame and unique team profiles.

Articles written by the Avon’s Newspaper Club will be posted regularly, allowing the community to get instant notifications.
Videos created by Avon Media club will be uploaded in Vimeo and be connected with the app as an API.
7. Live Streaming
Live Stream videos using Mux, where the entire community can instantly share athletic events in real time.
8. Administrator capabilities
Coaches can manage their team. They can schedule a game, update game scores, and send real-time notifications to the players of the team.
9. Integration with Veracross
Veracross, a school information system that provides a unified database for school administration, is connected with AOF Athletics based on its software partnership.
Target Users & Companies
- Target School: Avon Old Farms School (Avon, CT). However, the app is aiming to expand its scope to other ten Founders League Schools after its successful release in Avon. The ultimate target schools are: Choate Rosemary Hall (Wallingford, CT), Ethel Walker School (Simsbury, CT), The Hotchkiss School (Lakeville, CT), Kent School (Kent, CT), Kingswood Oxford School (Kingswood, CT), The Loomis Chaffee School (Windsor, CT), Miss Porter's School (Farmington, CT), The Taft School (Watertown, CT), Trinity-Pawling School (Pawling, NY), and Westminster school (Simsbury, CT).
- Target Users: Faculties and students of Avon Old Farms School involving personal accounts. However, future updates may target parents and alumnus’ access to the app by permitting account creation.
- There are no features that are yet meant to be used publicly, though future updates, as explained above, may permit limited access across parents and alumni.
Additional Information
- There are no payments such as purchasable items or subscriptions for the app.
- There are three branches of account in AOF Athletics. They are Student, Faculty, and Administrator accounts respectively. Referring to the ‘Key Features’ list, Students do have access to features 1-7. Faculties have access to features 1-8. Administrators, referring to individuals such as the head of the athletic department, school principal, and developer, all have access to features 1-8 like faculties, but additionally have some exclusive features such as reviewing and releasing updated match results and managing faculty members. Admin accounts almost resemble the faculty account but holds additional capabilities in regulating athletic events and faculty management.
- Most of the users, faculties and students, will login using their Google Account associated with Avon Old Farms School (i.e. email addresses that ends with the following domain: @avonoldfarms.com). Other Google Accounts that are not associated with the institution do not have access in the entire authentication process. The account creation will be denied.
- However, Administrators will be given with pre-made email accounts for their authentication.
- The app is aiming to be released as a public status, minding of potential updates that may encompass users outside the school community (i.e. parents and alumnus)
