At MTR, we strive to create an inclusive transportation network and to encourage mobility of customers with special needs by offering them a hassle-free journey riding on the latest technology.

"MTR · Care" mobile app, equipped with a user-friendly, clear and easy-to-use interface for our elderly and customers with special needs, is now available. Two functions – Trip Planner (Simplified Version) and In-Station Navigation at Exhibition Centre Station (For Visually Impaired) are now available for elderly and visually impaired customers, making their journeys smoother and in-control.

Key features of the two functions:

1. Trip Planner (Simplified Version): an one-stop-shop function to provide journey information, such as estimated journey time, routing as well as “Fast Exit” information, etc. for elderly and customers to plan trips in advance

2. In-Station Navigation at Exhibition Centre Station (For Visually Impaired): a navigation function supported by an audio beacon to assist the visually-impaired customers to access the station facilities and other information
