Rules:

Each player starts the game with two cards and two gems.

Each character card has special powers that we will examine below.

Characters:

Assassin: Pays 3 gems to assassinate other players.
Thug: Extorts 2 gems from other players and does not pay anyone.
Duke: Collects 3 gems as taxes from the treasury and blocks foreign aid to other players.
Guardian: Blocks the assassination.
Wizard: Swaps their cards with the deck and doesn't pay extortion.
