It works by looking on the inside of any head of which you point it at, and then using FABULOUSLY complicated technology that would be FAR too complicated (and fabulous) to explain to you here, or indeed at all. It then displays said persons head-thoughts for you to read with your EYES. It seems like magic, but no, it is merely fabulous technology at work.
