ShutterCount displays the number of shutter actuations (the shutter count) of your Canon EOS, Nikon or Pentax digital camera - see the complete list of certified models below. The shutter count is read directly from USB or Wi-Fi connected Canons, and from image files for Nikon and Pentax cameras. With ShutterCount you can easily check whether a newly purchased camera is really new, or how heavily used a pre-owned item is. And you can save a trip to a service center by doing the reading for yourself.

ShutterCount Pro 4.7 Update

New features: • The app runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs. • Added support for Nikon D6, Z6 II, Z7 II. • Raw Copyright Information reveals extraneous information contained in Canon cameras. Ideally there should be no such thing, but editing or deleting author and copyright in the camera (as well as with most apps) will result in leftover that may leak personal data. • Wipe Personal Data securely deletes owner name, author name, copyright and (if available) IPTC information from Canon cameras. • The number of pictures made with the electronic shutter is displayed on the Distribution Chart for Canon EOS-1D X Mark III, R and R5. This number is not included elsewhere as the electronic shutter does not contribute to mechanical shutter wear. • The app falls back to displaying a number that includes electronic shutter actuations when the Canon EOS R5 fails to report the mechanical shutter counter due to a firmware bug. • Improved macOS 11 compatibility.
