hearScope™ is a world-first digital otoscope for affordable access to ear care. It enables healthcare professionals across primary to tertiary levels to accurately diagnose patients with ear disease to ensure the right treatment is provided.

Since the release of hearScope™ in 2017. hearX Group has continuously improved the product for exceptional image quality and ease of use.

The hearScope™ desktop application can be used by healthcare professionals to easily capture images and videos of the eardrum and ear canal, edit session media and store session data.

The following features are included in the hearScope™ desktop app:
1. Artificial intelligence (AI) instantaneous image classification for normal, wax obstruction, chronic perforation and abnormal categories. Classification accuracies ranges from tympanic membranes with an accuracy of 99% for normal, wax obstruction with 100% accuracy and chronic perforations with a 98% accuracy. The abnormal classification currently indicates a high probability of a pathology present in the ear and suggests that the individual should opt for a professional examination of the tympanic membrane. The ear condition categories are continually updated to classify more pathologies of the eardrum and to improve the confidence levels. High definition camera for quality images and accurate classifications.
2. Additional information features available to explain the classification categories with additional example imagery.
3. Auto-crop and auto-zoom of images to remove specula edges when capturing images. This feature can be enabled in the camera settings.
4. Preview feature to list images available directly from the camera view.
5. Create custom session names.
6. Capture images whilst recording a video.
7. Up to 25 frames per second video frame rate to ensure real-time viewing and video without delays.
8. hearScope™ can also serve as a dermatoscope and a laryngoscope with the dermal and throat adapter, which attaches like a specula to capture images of moles and skin lesions or fit tongue depressors to capture throat inspections.

hearScope™ desktop app can be used by either a USB or USB-C scope, which can be purchased from the hearX Group website.
