With Photo Reader, you can get the text from any photo or image. Using the app, you select a photo or make a photo of a text document and then the app will very quickly present you the text from the photo. You can then copy the text to use it somewhere else or you can send the text in a text message or email. Photo Reader can read most European languages and Chinese. On macOS Ventura it can also read the Japanese, Korean, Russian, Ukrainian and Cantonese language.

You can select a photo from your Photo Library or any photo on disk.

The camera of your Mac is also supported. Just hold a document in front of the camera and Photo Reader will get the text for you.

This is app is the macOS equivalent of the iOS version with the same name (Photo Reader). The iOS version is included.
