This app is a tool to be used during Medical History Consultations with clients proposing to undergo a non-invasive cosmetic laser or intense pulsed light treatment.

This app is aimed primarily at non-medical users such as Beauticians and Laser Technicians based in the UK and Europe. The laser/IPL safety guidelines and standards in the app are based on protocols predominantly used in that region.

The app presents the user with 39 separate medical conditions divided into the following categories - each of which may interfere with laser/IPL treatments : Female Conditions, Immunological Conditions, Coagulation Disorders, Blood Thinning Therapy, Skin Conditions, Cancer Therapy, Endocrine Disorders, Transplants & Implants, Other Cosmetic Therapy and other Miscellaneous Conditions.

The user is able to quickly enter the client's declared conditions by sliding the relevant "segmented control" to the "Yes" position on each screen.

The client is asked to confirm their answers by signing on-screen with their finger.

The report displays various user warnings suggesting the action to be taken if the client has declared a contraindication. Otherwise a statement that no contraindicated conditions were declared is displayed. All the client's declarations are listed in order to provide a complete record.

Finally a plain text version of the report is exported using the "Share" feature of the app which allows electronic client records to be stored or printed.
