TopTank allows you to quick estimate the capacity, weight and thickness of tanks and pressure vessels.

Design of atmospheric tanks is based on API standard 650 – Welded Tanks for Oil Storage. The app supports design per annexes F (Internal Pressure), V (External Pressure) and M (Elevated Temperatures), also frangible joint design can be done. The user can choose between supported cone and dome roofs.

Design of pressure vessels is based on ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1. Currently, the app only supports vessels with internal pressure and ellipsoidal or hemispherical heads.

This app is for reference only, and in no way it should be used to do a fully design. Professional software such as AMETank or COMPRESS is recommended.
