BMI is a calculation using weight and height. It allows you to assess the risk of developing certain diseases, but is in no way a guarantee of your state of health. You can be outside of what is considered normal and still be healthy. Having a good diet and doing physical activity is the only solution to good health.

BMI is not an infallible measurement, but it is a very useful indicator. BMI calculator should not be used for people under 18 years old, pregnant and lactating women, endurance athletes, people with high muscle mass and adults over the age of 65.
