Shortminder allows to quickly add a reminder using a keyboard shortcut or clicking on the menu bar. This save you a lot of time and clicks, especially for people who add a lot of reminders during the day and are working on something different.

This idea has the purpose to solve a personal need. Being an avid user of Apple Reminders, I find myself to open the app a lot of times during the day. This distracts me from my workflow, wasting a lot of time.
