Introducing Coruscant, a unique art therapy app that combines art education with creative story illustration, giving children a world where they hold the reins of possibility. The app will improve children’s mental health by providing an emotional outlet for self-expression.



It surpasses other apps which offer basic colouring experiences by providing an immersive experience that allows children to not only start learning or improve on their artistic abilities, but also enhance literacy, build confidence, resilience, creativity and other relevant soft skills for personal development, weaving a brighter tomorrow for every child.



Art tutorials

The app offers video tutorials suited to different expertise levels. Each artistic theme includes specific modules. For instance, the animal theme's sheep module has 3 levels represented by planets: drawing outlines, colouring, then advanced techniques like colour gradients. Planets light up after each lesson and kids earn points after completing each level, allowing them to gradually unlock more advanced tutorials. They can then practise their skills via guided or unguided drawing sessions.



Story illustration

On the main menu, children can choose from 4 different story themes.

Kids read the story and animate the scene on the canvas next to it. The app provides sprites - suggested outlines of characters in these stories - as a guide for children. Users can drag sprites onto their canvas, customise wallpapers, use language toggles and drawing tools with distinct sounds, creating a realistic experience.

The app also has a prompt bar for each part that encourages kids to think beyond the sprite to the setting. They can build their own special world, fostering a sense of creative ownership.

This strikes a balance between guiding children with stories, while empowering them to draw freely. This imaginative story illustration process provides a safe space for self-expression and healing, helping children build confidence and creativity—skills crucial for personal wellbeing and development.
