Romanian Șeptică - Game Rules
Șeptică is a traditional Romanian card game played with 32 cards (from 7 to Ace in each suit). The game is usually played by 2, 3, or 4 players.
Objective:
Win as many points as possible. Only 10s and Aces are worth points (each worth 1 point). There are 8 points total in the game.
Gameplay:
Players can play any card on their turn.
A trick is won by:
Playing a card of the same rank as the one on the table (cutting),
Or by playing a Seven, which acts as a wild cut card.
The player who cuts last wins the trick and collects the cards.
Special Rules:
When 3 players are playing:
Two Eights are removed from the deck. The other two Eights act as wild cards (like Sevens).
When 4 players are playing:
The game is played in teams of two, with partners sitting opposite.
Teammates must not cut each other’s cards, to maximize team score.
Winning:
The game ends when the deck is empty and all tricks have been played. The player (or team) with the most points wins.
