SmartCrowd is an application developed for a research project. It allows the user to safely enjoy large events such as festivals, live concerts, street parades, etc.

SUBSCRIBE TO AN EVENT
Using the SmartCrowd app, the user can subscribe to any available event (e.g., Fribourg Campus Fever 2014, Paléo Festival 2015, etc.) and receive information in real time about the event organization (map, scheduling, etc.).

STAY SAFE
During the event, SmartCrowd uses anonymously the users’ location to detect in real time dangers and hazardous conditions, and to provide aimed information about possible congestions, the nearest emergency exit, fire extinguishers, etc.

ENJOY THE FESTIVAL
To help the user enjoy the festival, the application provides contextual information about the near stands and shops and their offers.

PARTAKE
SmartCrowd allows the user to take part in contests and games created by the organizers in order to win gadgets, reductions... and satisfaction!

PRIVACY
No personal data is collected. An individual cannot be identified by the data collected. Any collected information will be used only for research purposes and under no circumstances will we provide or disclose any collected information from the users.


NOTE: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
