Ukemi app, demonstrated by Jan Nevelius, 6th dan, introduced principles of Ukemi training and movements through exercices and application of Ukemi in specific technics of Aikido.

In Ukemi training are three completely different parts:

A - The moment of the attack itself (where we should attack completely).

B - What happens after the moment of attack (where we have to take care of ourselves, follow the movement and look for the next opening).

C - The moment of going down in either a pin or a throw (where we to have to relate to being close to the ground).

This serie of ukemi apps will focus mainly on the last one – eventhough all this three actions can not be completely separated.

When taking ukemi we study our relationship to the ground. Aikido is called The Way of Harmony. How do we create harmony with the earth we are walking on?
