Yallah!: your essential GPA companion
Learn any language with the Growing Participator Approach (GPA) and spaced-repetition flashcards—all in one 4-in-1 app designed to support you every day.
What does Yallah do?
• Record your sessions: capture time with your nurturer/teacher (stories, songs, videos) and save them as collections with titles, notes, and images.
• Build a living vocabulary: add words and phrases with translation, transliteration, examples, conjugations, and audio (per word and per phrase).
• Study with smart flashcards: pick study modes (L1→L2, L2→L1, or both), shuffle, and set session size (5, 10, 15, 20, 50, 100, or unlimited).
• Measure your progress: see daily progress, SRS queues (what to study today, tomorrow, and later), difficulty tiers, and temporal stats (today, this week, etc.).
4 apps in 1 (built for GPA)
1) Audio recording
Create one collection per session (e.g., “Story: The Market”). Record the story and add it to your collections. Attach photos/screenshots/sketches/notes for quick reviews.
During review with your nurturer/teacher, use play/pause and ±5 s to stop at unknown words. Then create a WordLog: a short audio with the new words and 1–2 examples spoken by you. Add it to the collection to loop during the day.
2) Vocabulary
Each entry can include translation, transliteration (how it’s pronounced), notes, phrases, conjugations, and a short pronunciation audio. Organize by topics and favorites. Everything is editable.
3) Flashcards (spaced repetition)
Move from recognition to recall with quick sessions. Choose mode, deck size, and—if available—play the audio on the card before revealing the answer.
4) Audio collections
Group long audios (stories, songs, narratives) and listen like a playlist. Ideal for in-context comprehension, a GPA cornerstone.
