Arabic peripatetic philosopher from Cordoba Averroes (1126-1198) (Ibn Rushd) went down in history primarily as a commentator of Aristotle (in the Middle Ages, it was referred to as the Commentator), his work has largely decisive influence on the formation and development of medieval European philosophy (scholastics). One of the most important treatises of Averroes is his "Refutation refutation" written as a refutation of the outstanding work of the Arab mystic and theorist of Sufism Ghazali (Abu Hamid) "Refutation philosophers", which is almost entirely driven Averroes in his "refutation" in the form of detailed quotes.
