Shahnama - an outstanding monument of Persian and Tajik literature, describing the history of Iran from ancient times to the VII century.

Poem reproduces the legend of the first shahah Iran, tales of heroes-heroes, as well as real events and legends associated with the presence in Iran of Alexander the Great.

It is the longest poem from the pen of the author: the amount of two times more than the amount of "Iliad" and "Odyssey" combined.

Hakim Mansour Hassan Abulkasim Ferdowsi Tusi - worked on the poem more than 35 years - from the age of thirty to old age.
