‘Volcan de la Fournaise’ is an innovative app that is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the unusual landscape of one of the most active volcanos in the world, a volcano that is one of the World Heritage Sites. The first circuit is called « la Route du Volcan au fil du temps » - ‘The Route of the Volcano through the ages’ - and this is an invitation to travel through time accompanied by the Guardian of the Volcano, meeting the people that lived and worked on the mountain range. As you make your way to each of the twelve geo-located stations along the route, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the richness of the natural, cultural and historical heritage of this site. Each station will tell you more about an important aspect of the place, drawing on a particular era and focussing on a particular character. All kinds of delights await you including interviews, eyewitness accounts, interactive games and a few other surprises…ideal for adults and children alike!
