Integration with IFTTT can be done by sending out a notification to your phone whenever an "IF" happens. This allows you to turn on (or off or flash) your lights
? when the International Space Station passes over your home
? at sunrise/sunset
? when there is a high pollen count
? when you come home
? when you hit your daily goal on FitBit
? every hour to remind you to drink a glass of water
? when it starts raining
? when Uber driver arrives
? when the IP Camera in the childrens bedroom detects audio
? when a meeting starts
? and many more

Integration with IFTTT-button widget now also allows you to remote control your lights: put an old phone at home (no SIM-card needed!) and control your lights by sending IFTTT notifications to it.
It's easy to create a button to switch off all your lights
